Who we are

MyShadez ("we", "us") helps women of colour find foundation shades. For data-protection purposes the data controller is [your registered name/business], contactable at hello@myshadez.com.

What we collect

When you use the Foundation Finder or join the Shade Collective we collect the information you provide: your first name and email (if given), and beauty information such as your current foundation, shade, skin depth, undertone, skin type, finish, coverage, concerns and country. We do not collect special-category data, and you should not submit any.

How we use it

To generate your match, to improve recommendations for the whole community, and — only if you opt in — to email you updates and early access to our products. Our lawful bases are your consent (for marketing) and our legitimate interest in improving the service (for aggregated, de-identified analysis).

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run MyShadez (for example email and hosting providers) under appropriate agreements.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your data, or withdraw consent at any time, by emailing hello@myshadez.com. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).

Retention & security

We keep your data only as long as needed for the purposes above, and protect it with reasonable technical and organisational measures. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we take protecting your information seriously.
